I like to call myself the crafty decorator. When I’m away from my studio, I find it hard to concentrate. I need my art supplies close at hand, and I need them to stay dry. Then I can work on what I’ve started. It’s a win-win situation because my art supplies are always ready when I need them.
I’m not the only one who likes to stay close to the supplies. There are many web designers who will even throw a few things into their computer case when they can’t find the right ones. I like to take my materials with me everywhere, but I’ll keep them in a safe place if I can.
It’s not that I’m a crafty decorator. I’m just an artist with a lot of things to draw and paint. I love to draw, and I have a lot of ideas. My favorite art form to draw and paint is photography, both for its ability to capture a scene, the beauty of the colors, and the unique perspective that photography offers. I use all four of these elements to create my art.
In the late 90s, I lived in my studio. I had all of the materials and supplies that I needed to start making things. As I started to make my first few paintings and drawings, I started to notice that I was always drawing people, mostly women, but also men and children, who were my favorite subjects to draw. I soon realized that I was creating art that was mostly women, so I decided to do something about it.
Before I met my future husband, I spent a lot of time in my studio, making art and drawing. In this time I learned a lot about photography, and it was very influential in the art I made later. I learned how to use different mediums, and I became very aware of the impact that image has on the viewer.
I have been drawn to drawing and taking photos because I often see the same people in the same areas and also in the same poses. I often find these same people in different scenes, so I can draw their faces and their bodies and their clothes in a way that is interesting and different from when they are in the same scene.
I think the ability to draw and photograph different people in the same locations has been very important in how I think about my own work. My first drawing was based on a photo of a friend of mine who I had never met before. I liked the way the light hit her face, and I thought it was a beautiful image. I tried to capture this with my pencil, and eventually I got it out of my head.
The same is true of me, but drawing people I have never met in the same place I have never been. I feel that we each have a “voice” that we carry with us. The things we do, the things we say, the things we feel are all part of our self-awareness and are important for what we do and how we feel about ourselves.
A lot of people think that drawing is just a hobby. It’s not. It’s an art form that some people feel they can’t help doing but can’t do without the help of others. We should be open to the fact that drawing is something very important to us, but we can’t always see the value. But I think that’s part of the fun.
We can only draw as long as we keep our eyes open and don’t keep them open for too long. But it is always fun to see the results of our efforts. This is because the more we draw, the more we see. And the more we see, the more we are able to draw.
