I’ll admit that I have some serious issues with the fresh produce aisle. I’ve been there a few times and the fresh produce I buy there is often not the freshest tasting. I have to be very careful with what I purchase from them because I buy them with the intent of eating them.
So, I think there is a huge opportunity to change that. There are companies out there that are trying to change that, and one of the most successful is the aptly named shelly’s deli. They are one of the few places in the area that has the fresh produce section that is clean, safe, and has no artificial colors. The fresh fish, shellfish, fruits, vegetables, and meats are actually pretty fresh all the time.
I know what you’re thinking…Shellys deli sells fresh food as well as fresh frozen food. However, they also sell frozen food in the store, so if you want to get fresh food right away, you’ll want to get the fresh deli stuff. Because it is fresh food, Shellys deli would be the one place to go to on a Saturday night.
On the other hand, you can get frozen food from other places in the city. There are plenty of stores that sell frozen food as well.
If you really want to get things fresh for a week or so, Shellys won’t be your best bet. If you want to get fresh food for a week or two, go on over to the grocery store and pick up a few cans of green beans, frozen corn, and fresh tomatoes. The deli also has other fresh food items as well.
With its cute, sweet, bright interior, Shellys is a great place to go for a quick snack, and it’s a good spot for a quick pick-me-up before work or school. If you want to take your drink with you, there’s also a place to store it, too.
